About JFC Ambassador Jasmine
Jasmine Figueroa, Age 15
About Me:
My nickname is Jazzi. School is going well so far and my favorite subject is Social Studies. I like to play basketball, jump double-dutch and run. I also like to play video-games. I would like to become a lawyer.
About Journey for Change:
What I experienced in Journey for Change is that no matter who you are and what you do, don’t be selfish. I also learned to serve the poor. I think Journey for Change has changed my life a whole lot because I never thought I could get this far in life and see the other side of the world. I was also able to serve kids my age and younger. My favorite Journey for Change experience was traveling to New Orleans to help a lady rebuild her house. She told us sad stories about her and her family’s experience with Hurricane Katrina. She also made us some good, hot gumbo and I thanked her very much for her kindness.
About the World:
The issues that are important to me are working with orphaned babies and I would also like to go and rebuild homes again.
Ancestry/Genealogy: My direct ancestors are Native American from Haplogroup A.
